Rover 25 Overview

The Rover 25 is classed as a supermini car and is produced by the British car company MG Rover which has been liquidated since 2005, when it was overtaken by MG Motor. Rover has had a bit of a rocky road over its lifetime and has been taken over by a few companies over recent years, such as BMW and Chinese company Nanjing Automotive. The Rover 25 replaced the Rover 200 in 1999. These cars are cheap to buy; they are a good driving experience and look good. The sporty look and good build quality make this a car worth considering. They are pretty cramped in the rear, but what do you expect for a car of this class. Does this sound anything like your experience of this car?Rover 25 Review the Rover 25

Rover 25 History

As mentioned above, the Rover 25 replaced the Rover 200 in 1999, and it was almost identically the same car except for a few minor changes. This version took its front end design from the Rover 75 and was designed on a new chassis to give it a sportier feel with better handling and suspension. It had greater safety features and also improved interior design than its predecessor.

When BMW sold the Rover Group in 2001, the newly formed MG Rover Group produced a sporty version of the Rover 25 called the MG ZR. In 2004 this car had a makeover, which altered the interior and exterior of the vehicle and in 2005 it ceased production as the company went into administration.
